Better Shelter for Refugees

Millions of refugees are forced to live in tents in temporary camps because that is the only option they have. But that option raises all kinds of problems, from the spread of disease, lack of security, sanitary issues, vulnerable to weather, etc. As a social enterprise driven by their mission to better the lives of refugees and other displaced persons, the Better Shelter Org. of IKEA created a flat-packed shelter with solar power and lockable doors. Yet another example where design saves the day!
