Tracy Walker Illustration

While perusing Pinterest, looking for some fabric patters for an upcoming project, I was pleased to come across the wonderful work of Tracy Walker. Unfortunately, finding her work has made me sad that I cannot turn every piece into fabric and make the most awesome quilt you've ever seen out of it. The organic shapes, textures, colors, and patterns all work so well with each other. I also love how well each of the pieces in her portfolio are such different subjects but work well together to showcase her original style. The work that I found on Pinterest was the squirrel, whale, octopus series (featured below), which is now on my wish list for sure.Tracy Walker is an illustrator who got her start in the book publishing industry as a designer. She  uses inspiration from the natural world around her in her rural home in Canada to draw from in her illustrations. Now working as a full-time illustrator, her work is featured in children's books, advertisements, editorial publications, and package designs. There is so much amazing work on her website that I had a hard time deciding what to sample below, so be sure to check more out here.
