La Tempesta painted series

I was going to hang on to this post for a little while longer so I wouldn't be posting some from the same artist in the same week. But this La Tempesta series that Riccardo Guasco did for the Trace Gallery in Zurich last month is simply stunning. These paintings were his interpretations of humans interacting with storms. Again, his slightly cubist style helps to make these stunning compositions. My personal favorites are the ones with the splash of red for some neat contrast with the dark storm. All these were done with in acrylic paint on canvas.
