Jurassic World Board Game
Funko Games
We were approached by Funko late into the production process of their largest, most complex board game to date, The Legacy of Isla Nublar. They were close to finalizing the game but were still missing key illustration assets that needed to have a mid-century feel to them. We happily jumped on board and quickly completed all the illustration work in time for Funko to start their Kickstarter campaign for the game. Even though we didn’t create all the assets in this game, we are so proud of the illustrations we contributed all throughout this beautiful board game.

OUR ROLE:
Our Retro Aesthetic
This game is massive! Not only in size, but there are so many pieces inside that are all thoughtfully designed and illustrated. The main cover, playing board and cards were already completed when we came on board. Everything looked amazing, but there really wasn’t a 1950s adventure book vibe to it all, and that is why they hired us. The brief referenced mid-century adventure and science books as a source of inspiration. We couldn’t have found a project that fit our aesthetic any better. And in our opinion, it shows in everything we were able to illustrated in this game.
