We are Back!

We are finally back from our trip in Washington! Though it was much needed, we still are happy to be back in the saddle here at Brave the Woods. So to all of you who are avid viewers of our blog here, we apologize for the absence of blog posts this past week. We spent much of our time in Port Townsend, WA, a small Victorian seaport at the tip of the peninsula in the San Juan Islands. Besides being too enamored by our surroundings to blog, we barely had an internet connection either. So there. That is our excuse :)We don't come completely empty-handed though. While we were there we strolled around some amazing little antique shops and found some awesome items for our studio! You never know what you will find while picking. Enjoy!Tin Litho Cosmic Gun - Toy "sparkle gun" made in the 60s by Japanese company, Shudo. They were called "sparkle guns" because of the sparks that are visible inside.Complete Table Tennis Box Set - Table tennis set with all the original pieces made by Transogram Company in the 50s. It is so old the balls say "Made in England" on them :)Cork Board Map of U.S. - This 1970s map is exactly what Krystal and I were looking for! Now we can pin all our road trips and places we have lived. The colors and graphics are so awesome.Bee Line Legs - Still in the original packaging, these 1950s, do-it-yourself furniture legs are so neat.Skibble Board Game - This we actually found in my parent's garage. I can't believe they still had this game! I remember playing on it as a kid, and so did my mom. I can't find out any info on the background of the game, but my mom mentioned that my grandpa bought the game for her when she was little. My guess is this was made in the 50s or early 60s. Such good memories tied to this game. Looking forward to hanging it on our studio walls for display, and easy access when we want to play!
