Tile Art Installations

You are probably most familiar with seeing tile artwork in your schools and libraries (Except for those who live in Lisbon). Though I don't remember any growing up that were nearly as neat as these tile art installations. With the control that comes from hand glazing the tiles, and the planning of the modular systems of colorful, geometric patterns and shapes, these works of art truly come alive.The designer, manufacturer and consultant of all these is london-based, Lubna Chowdhary. She take on these projects from clients all over the world, to work on everything from schools, homes, museums and public spaces. For each project she takes on, she said she, "aims to create new histories of place by combining contemporary ideas and technology with traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail."  Her craftsmanship and ideas are clearly evident in her vibrant work.
