Themis Mobile

We are so sorry that we missed Friday Likes last week...but we were having a blast at Austin City Limits! We will post all about that shortly, but in the mean time, we found this cool mobile that we just had to share. I have always been a Calder fan, and have had a soft spot for mobiles, so this one caught my eye. This mobile, Themis Mobile, designed by Clara von Zweigbergk and manufactured by Artecnica is such an interesting mix of colors and geometric shapes.

Themis is made of paper and composed of five pieces of faceted geometric ornaments all with florescent neon, purples, and browns color palette. Designed by Stockholm based graphic designer and illustrator Clara von Zweigbergk, Themis was inspried by geometric polyedra, “the shapes quickly came together as a mobile. I think of them as planets and like to see the colors change while gently turning.” The mobile can be ordered from DeDeCe. The manufacturer, Artecnica, is an LA based design company that works with international designers to create well-designed and beautiful decorative objects, thier shop is pretty diverse and full of some beautiful things, like the Themis mobile.
