See Ya In the Water by Simone Massoni

Summer is pretty much here, and these illustrations are a perfect reminder of that. This series of synchronized swimmers called See Ya In the Water is from artist Simone Massoni. I really enjoyed this series. The forms are so fluid and elegant, and very reminiscent of something on an old Vogue cover.

I love the use of synchronized swimming as a way to make patterns. The color palette is beautiful with a simple red accent. Overall the whole series is very fun and I have to say, I think the simple marker-esque lines and use of texture and patterns really make this series spectacular. Simone Massoni is designer and illustrator based in Florence, Italy. His company is called SketchThisOut.
