New Austin Children's Museum: The Thinkery

We may have just arrived here in Austin, but we have been anxiously waiting for the opening of the new Austin Children's Museum, the Thinkery. Our little boy, Hezekiah, is a year and a half and we wanted to expose him to great atmospheres like this one, where he can learn, experiment, and play. Now the day has come and the Thinkery is open and we couldn't be more excited. We have already gone once with our little guy and he absolutely loved it. Everything was hands on and allowed him to explore and get dirty. So when we were given the chance to create a poster for their grand opening, we were thrilled. Our good friends at the Butler Bros reached out to us with this opportunity. They created all the amazing branding for the Thinkery, and asked if we would come up with a poster to help promote the big day. Our direction for the poster was to have a simple, retro science theme. The museum is great for little kids, but really gets interesting for kids a bit older as well. This ended up being a four color screen print, at 18 x 24.But that was just our little poster design. We were only building off of the incredible branding that the Butler Bros had already created for the place. The branding is clean, bold and simple. It pairs wonderfully with architecture and fits the vibe of the place. The kids have access to all these simple elements, that they can then turn into whatever they want. Check out more of the Butler Bros work here
