Issun Boshi: A Japanese Tale Revisited

Dynamic design duo, Iconori,  injected a colorful, new life into an old Japanese tale. Issun Boshi, or "One Inch Boy", is the story of a peasant couple who had a tiny boy who goes out and discovers the world. Through color overlays and a mixture of detailed sketch work and bold geometric shapes, the world they have created in this story is incredible.Iconori is the studio of designers Mayumi Otero and Raphael Urwiller. They have a passion for drawing and seeing that translated into print. Because of their love for the craft, they publish and print their works on their own so they can keep the highest quality and provide their products at lower prices. See more of their work here.
