Google's Modular Phone

If you haven't seen it already, this prototype modular phone project from Google is definitely worth a look. Google has been teasing modular phones for some time now, but up until now, nothing tangible has been released. These new smartphones allow you to completely customize your phone. Break your screen? No problem, just switch it out for another. Music and sound quality is really important to you? Awesome, add new speaker square. The options are really unlimited.The first country to get to try out these new phones, is Puerto Rico. They will be available very soon through carriers in Puerto Rico and will vary in price depending on the modules chosen. This initial pilot program with hopefully lead to a global release soon after, but it all depends on how well they do in the Puerto Rican market. The project was showcased at Project Ara last month.
