Esmeralda Typeface Design

Discovering beautiful type specimens is always exciting. This one in particular was an experiment of trying to merge both the carved nature of serif fonts, with the natural form of a brush script. Though the influence of the brush script is subtle, the serif typeface that was once was very classic, now feels fresh and contemporary. And what I love most about this is the fact that they made up a challenge for themselves to create this on their own. Always inspiring to see designers produce amazing work without a client. The typeface, named Esmeralada, was the work of the Yani Arabena and Guille Vizzari of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I happened upon their beautiful range of typographic work on their Behance portfolio. You are going to want to check out the rest of their projects. They are quite the talented duo.
