André de Miranda Woodcut Prints

Art can be created using many different mediums and techniques. Brazilian artist, André de Miranda, uses the classified listings of new buildings as his canvases for woodcut prints. The geometric patterns compliment architectural pictures well, and the natural texture of the woodcut printing process adds a layer of depth to his work.André de Miranda worked with engravers in Brazil to learn his trade. He has been working within the woodcut medium since 1976  and believes that xylography (woodcuts) is an expressive art charactaristic of Brazil. His work is featured in galleries worldwide and he sells his woodcut prints on Novica.
